Have you been tending the incubator? Have you turned the questions over in your mind several times a day as you wait for the sound of hatching?

In Purpose of Life Part One, we established that Yahweh/God was not limited in any way, as He chose a design for creation. We also reviewed Scriptures which indicate that Creation speaks, teaches, declares, is heard, and reveals. We saw from Romans 1:20 that the end result of Creation’s teaching, is that we are left without excuse. And from John, we discovered that learning from the Creation classroom may even be a prerequisite to understanding the spiritual! Let’s take time to review.

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Ps 19:1-3 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

At the conclusion of Part One, I asked you to consider the possibility that this physical existence was designed to be a classroom, with each and every detail calculated to teach us spiritual truths. It is, after all, easy to see that Creation speaks of the PRESENCE of God. It would even be fair to say that it takes someone stubbornly intellectually disingenuous to deny the presence of a Creator after even a surface study of nature!  How, indeed, is it possible for one to be convinced that even a bee, which requires pollen in order to live, and a flower, which needs a bee for survival, just “happened” simultaneously, without a Designer?

It is, therefore, not difficult to conclude that man is without excuse for knowing the PRESENCE of a Creator.  But is that really what Romans 1:20 is communicating?  Is this His eternal power and godhead? Or is there higher education available through the study of creation? MUCH Higher education? (See Buzzwords under the Creation Speaks tab for more on the astounding spiritual information disclosed through the design of bees.)

And is Romans 1:20 serious when it declares that man is without excuse? All men?  Even that man in the proverbial rainforest?  Well, of course, even there, the presence of a creator would be obvious! But Romans 1:20 speaks of more than establishing the presence of the Most High. It claims that even His eternal power and godhead are revealed! Are we to believe that without a Bible or a Scroll, and without a preacher or a teacher, jungle residents would be able to discern the very character of God? How is that possible?!?

In our quest to discover the answer to the above question, let’s take a look at this image of Bev Doolittle’s The Forest Has Eyes.

Do you see the hidden Indian faces? Take another look. You should be able to locate at least ten.

Is it even remotely possible that once finished painting, Bev Doolittle put down her brush, stepped back to survey her completed work, and was astounded to find that embedded within her painting were hidden Indian faces? Well, of course not! That would be a ludicrous assertion!

Before brush came into contact with canvas, the artist had a plan. Her intention, from the beginning, was to weave into the painting hidden images within a picture. Every brush stroke, every color and hue chosen, were part of her master plan, specifically calculated to bring about her intended end result. And do you imagine that she expected that the Indian faces, which she had so painstakingly and intentionally camouflaged within her art, would remain just her little secret? Was it her hope that we would never find that which was hidden? Or was it her desire that we would?

Now with that in mind, let’s return to Romans 1:20

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse

The media Bev Doolittle chose as a means to lead us on a journey of discovery, was paint on canvas. The media our Creator selected, was creation. And this choice, not surprisingly, was brilliant! The Bev Doolittles and Michelangelos of the world continue to have their art viewed, studied, and emulated by many people. And this is a process which continues even after their lifetimes, and even perhaps across several centuries. And yet, not ALL people will be exposed to their art. The music of great composers such as Bach and Beethoven have spanned centuries and continents, but never reached that proverbial rainforest, or the ages before these composers lived.

But creation…ahhhh creation! What a brilliant choice! For ALL people, whether old or young, rich or poor, blind or seeing, deaf or hearing, in a Manhattan penthouse, or deep in that proverbial rainforest, will experience creation from Adam until the end! In fact, no matter how fast I run or how far I travel, whenever I reach my destination, there I am! I cannot, no matter how hard I try, get away from me! (Do each of the intricate design details of my body tell a story? We’ll take a look in Body Language.) And even if I should board a spaceship and travel far above Earth to live on the space station, I would still remain tethered to Earth by my by-design requirement for oxygen and water. (I wonder if our need for Air and Water are also carefully placed components of hidden pictures meant to lead us to Him? See Emergency Supply List for more on this.)

Yes, creation was the perfect media for The Almighty Creator to employ to reach every human being who would ever live, so that all would indeed be without excuse! Selah (pause and think about that).

Now, a check of the incubator would be in order to see if any of our egg/questions are beginning to hatch!

Why would our Creator/ Yahwah, choose to put us into a physical phase instead of taking us directly to the spiritual phase?

Try this experiment with your family or group of friends. Ask for two volunteers to play charades with the rest of the audience. Your two volunteers may choose to act individually or as a team as they see fit. Now hand them a card on which a single word has been written; up. This is their first pantomime assignment. Simple enough. They point skyward and the audience yells “heaven,” or “space,” or “ceiling,” or “light,” but eventually someone says “up.”  Next assignment might be the word dirty and again the volunteers need no thought or preparation, but immediately begin pantomiming cleaning a surface, or brushing dirt from their arms or clothing.  In short order, after a few errors, the audience guesses correctly.

Now we will move on to more difficult concepts. Your volunteers look at you with bewilderment as they read the word mercy! Hmmm.  This will take more thought.  They pantomime with one on the floor seeming to beg as the other smiles tenderly and reaches down to offer a helping hand. It takes longer for the audience to guess this one, but perhaps they eventually do.

Next word – grace.  Whoa!  This is DIFFICULT.  Often, no one in the audience is able to guess this one!  What about love? Forgiveness? Sin? Life? Resurrection?

Do you see the problem? Even WITH the physical as a tool in our pantomime experiment, these are SPIRITUAL concepts that are difficult to convey.  Imagine trying to convey these concepts WITHOUT the physical phase.  Without ever experiencing love, would you know what it meant if God said He “loves” you? If you had never needed to forgive someone or be forgiven by someone, would you understand the depth of the gift He offers when He says He forgives you? Without a physical understanding of death, would you comprehend or care if He were to say He would die for you, so that you might have eternal life?  What would those terms mean if there had been no physical phase?

With that egg beginning to crack, we will move on to the family egg.

Why, when there were other choices, did He choose to place us within families?

Without families, what would it mean if God identified Himself as your Father and claimed He loves you as a father loves a child?  Would these words have any impact on you, if you had never experienced the inexplicable love a parent feels for a child, or received that same kind of love from a parent? Alas, sadly, perhaps yours was a broken family and this kind of love was never displayed. This unhappy scenario, also, is a lesson taught through the family unit. For every design of the Holy One, there is a dysfunctional counterfeit provided by the Evil one.

We will discuss these things and more as we learn of the wonderful teaching tools He has placed within our family units in a series entitled Family Matters. But for now, let’s continue checking the incubator.

Why would God give instructions for the institution of a legal system?

Without a legal system, would we understand what it means that He is Judge? Without law, would we be able to understand that He has a set of standards designed to protect and provide for us individually and as a community? Would we have any understanding of being able to call on Him as Counselor? In fact, without His Law (teaching and instructions) would it even be possible for us to experience forgiveness and grace? Would we be able to throw ourselves on the mercy of the court if there was no court? Selah (pause and think about that).

Why is sickness and death a reality in our physical world?

Because sickness and death are a reality in the spiritual world! Perhaps a study of the earthly form will educate us about the spiritual form.

Was the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil a necessity?

For this I refer you to Adam, Eve, and George, which can be found in the Five Loaves, Two Fishes segment on this site.

Why are there wars, hate, beheadings, rapes, murders, etc?

Because we do have a spiritual enemy who is bent on the most heinous forms of spiritual destruction! (Please see Enemy of My Soul and Tekum, Abba, Tekum, in the Beulah Land section).

Why are there unclean animals?

In Food for Thought, you will find a discussion of why our Master would have created unclean foods as well as health-giving foods, and what spiritual treasure is hidden within design of the digestive system.

And lastly:

Why do we not live in a perpetual spring?

We will delve into this subject and more in Opposites Attract.

And in our series entitled Body Language, we will discover WONDROUS pictures of salvation, cleansing, work of the Ruach, death and resurrection and so much more!

It is my most sincere prayer that, as we travel together on this journey of discovery, our Lord and Master, Yahweh, will be magnified, His name glorified, and that we will exclaim all the more Mi Kamocha, Who is Like Thee among the gods, Oh Yahweh, doing wonders!?!
